Theme : " Choosing the right part " Text : Luke 10: 38-42

38. As Jesus was on the way with his disciples, he entered a village, and a woman named Martha received him into her house. 39. She had a sister, named Mary, who, having sat down at the feet of the Lord, listened to his word. 40. Martha, occupied with various domestic cares, came up and said: Lord, does it not matter to you that my sister leaves me alone to serve? Tell him to help me. 41. The Lord answered her: Martha, Martha, you are worried and you are agitated about many things. 42. Only one thing is needed. Mary chose the good part, which will not be taken from her.

Let us remember:

We do several things to maintain a good lifestyle. We believe that this is essential and even basic for a peaceful life. To stay on course, we go through concerns, compromises, concessions and even sacrifices of all kinds. In Jesus' opinion, anything that does not put God and his Word first is a bad priority. Jesus teaches us that the only priority is listening and putting into practice his Word; everything else will follow. We get busy with things that are useful but not necessary. These things are good but not essential. Only one thing is essential, it is the work of faith, consisting in listening to the Word of God and its materialization. It is the only part that will never be taken away; everything else is fleeting and perishable. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
