LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Monday April 15, 2024

Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: James 1:5-6

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

5. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all simply and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6. But let him ask it in faith, without doubting; for he who doubts is like the wave of the sea, tossed by the wind and driven from side to side.

Let's remember:

Wisdom is the quality of a person who demonstrates right, sure, informed judgment in his decisions and his actions. It is the quality of the person who acts with prudence and moderation. But divine wisdom is balanced knowledge, natural or acquired from experiences, inspired by God. It is an attribute of God and a spiritual quality. Among the spiritual gifts, we have that of wisdom which allows us to discern good from evil. In any situation, let us know that God has a solution that is by far the most suitable. We need divine wisdom to understand it. Divine wisdom is one of the most precious gifts because it is through it that we manage to guide someone. Every spiritual gift needs divine wisdom to act faithfully according to the mind of God. If any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all simply and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Only God is able to give wisdom. It can go through varied circumstances but by retracing the journey, we will see that it is God who is the source. Let us learn to rely on God, to seek his wisdom. Also, let us be calm because divine wisdom is not noisy, it is gentle and not at all spectacular. Let's take the time to listen to God so as not to miss the moment when his wisdom works in us or in our neighbor. Divine wisdom begins with faith and the fear of God. Have a great Monday. Amen

Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: 2 Chronicles 9:22-23

22. King Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom. 23. All the kings of the earth sought to see Solomon, to hear the wisdom which God had put in his heart.

Let's remember:

Obviously, King Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in wealth and wisdom. However, Jesus Christ is greater than Solomon in wisdom and wealth. Also, Solomon is a foreshadow of Jesus in that he drew many people to himself to receive the teachings of God. All the kings of the earth sought to see Solomon, to hear the wisdom that God had put in his heart. Let us know that wisdom only comes from the throne of God. Wisdom brings us closer to God and never the opposite. Wisdom attracts people to the one who possesses it; to hear God who is the source of this wisdom. In 1 Kings 10. 9  the queen of Sheba had given a poignant testimony for having listened to King Solomon. Unable to hide her thoughts, she said with conviction: “Blessed be the LORD your God, who has favored you to place you on the throne of Israel! It is because the LORD loves Israel forever that he has made you king to do justice and righteousness.” When someone has wisdom, he cannot live far from God. Likewise, God makes him a magnet who attracts all people to him without distinction of social rank. Excellent Tuesday. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Wednesday April 17, 2024

Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: Proverbs 16:21-23

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

21. He who is wise in heart is called intelligent, and gentleness of lips increases knowledge. 22. Wisdom is a source of life for the one who possesses it; And the punishment of fools is their folly. 23. He who is wise in heart manifests wisdom through his mouth, and the increase of his knowledge appears on his lips.

Let's remember:

The divine wisdom that we externalize through our mouths comes from the heart. The seat of divine wisdom remains the heart. When the heart is filled with any kind of wickedness or other foolish aspirations, it will never be possible to overflow with divine wisdom without getting rid of these obstacles. To better take care of divine wisdom, let us first take care of our heart in order to secure its shelter. Let us not forget that wisdom is divine and therefore pious and healthy. Now, everything that is of God must be preserved from defilement. Divine wisdom is deposited in the heart and from there it goes to the mouth to be served to the audience. He who is wise in heart is called intelligent. When it is expressed gently, it has a greater positive impact. Divine wisdom is a source of life for the one who possesses it. He spent happy days under her guidance. It is Jesus who grants us his Spirit and he endows us with his divine wisdom as it is written in Isaiah 11: "1. Then a branch will come out of the trunk of Jesse, and a shoot will be born from his roots. 2. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him: the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. He who is wise in heart manifests wisdom through his mouth, and the increase of his knowledge appears on his lips. Have a great Wednesday. Amen

Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: Proverbs 24:3-7

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

3. By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; 4. It is through knowledge that the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant goods. 5. A wise man is full of strength, and he who has knowledge strengthens his strength; 6. For you will wage war wisely, and there is salvation in the multitude of counselors. 7. Wisdom is too high for a fool; He will not open his mouth at the door.

Let's remember:

Wisdom is sometimes equated with science or intelligence. Whether it is one or the other, we know that they come from God, the provider of all that is healthy. Wisdom is God. Unfortunately, we do not listen to wisdom, nor do we listen to God. We like to move forward and progress in life without considering the provision and its source. It is God who helps us grow in every area of life. It is from Him that wisdom, intelligence and knowledge come. By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established. To build any work, you have to sit down and gather ideas around the creation of the project. This requires divine wisdom and science. It is through science that the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant goods. Luke 14:28 says “For if any of you want to build a tower, he first sits down to calculate the cost and see if he has enough to finish it”. It is an aspect of science, intelligence or divine wisdom. Doing so allows us to reap success for anyone who puts divine wisdom first over every action. He will become so strong that the world will be amazed. A wise man is full of strength, and he who has knowledge strengthens his strength. However, he who does not have divine wisdom is a fool. Now, for the foolish, things happen in a tick-to-tac manner without a plan, without intelligence and even without divine wisdom. He is in perpetual danger and he fails every time. Wisdom is too high for a fool; he will not open his mouth at the door. Have a great Thursday. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Friday April 19, 2024

Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: 1 Corinthians 1:19-25

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

19. Also it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will destroy the understanding of the intelligent. 20. Where is the wise man? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this century? Has not God convinced the wisdom of the world of folly? 21. For since the world in its wisdom did not know God in the wisdom of God, it pleased God to save those who believe through the foolishness of preaching. 22. The Jews ask for miracles, and the Greeks seek wisdom: 23. we preach Christ crucified; scandal to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles, 24. but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Let's remember:

Worldly wisdom vs divine wisdom. Wisdom remains wisdom, it is a provision of God. What is relevant is the use we make of it. God endows humanity with his wisdom. Those who use it well rank themselves on the side of divine wisdom. Those who do not know God or who misuse wisdom are ranked among the wisdom of the world. But the Lord God will destroy the wisdom of the wise, he will destroy the understanding of the intelligent. When wisdom is used for carnal vanity, it becomes the wisdom of the world and God can no longer preserve it from evil. This is why several wise men of this century disappear under the helpless gaze of their contemporaries. God has convinced the wisdom of the world of folly because the world, with its wisdom, did not know God despite its wisdom. This is where God changed his mode of action through the preaching of the cross. Yes, it pleased God to save believers through the foolishness of preaching. Whoever wants to acquire divine wisdom must drink from God, the source that never runs dry. With Him, wisdom flows like a torrent that overflows its banks. While young people drown in social networks in search of success, while Jews ask for miracles, while Greeks seek wisdom: we Christians preach Christ crucified; scandal for the Jews and madness for the pagans. Divine wisdom is the power of God to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen

Saturday April 20, 2024

Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: Proverbs 15:1-2

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

1. A gentle answer calms fury, But a harsh word stirs up anger. 2. The tongue of the wise makes knowledge sweet, and the mouth of fools spreads folly.

Let's remember:

Divine wisdom is not violent. She is gentle and peaceful. She lives in the heart of a skillful person who loves love and peace for her neighbor. It is the gentleness that characterizes anyone with divine wisdom. Gentleness in actions, gentleness in the look, gentleness in language... When a person with divine wisdom speaks, everyone would like to listen to him and appropriate everything that comes out of his mouth. His words ease tensions and dilute concerns. When fury reigns in a place, divine wisdom must be used to calm it. This requires gentle and well-controlled responses. No inappropriate remarks should be made because any harsh words excite anger, violence, quarrels or even fights. Those who often speak harsh words have never succeeded in reconciling their fellow men. Ordinary people don't like to follow people who say harsh things. Harsh speech is synonymous with absurdity and nonsense. It distances us from divine wisdom. Now, when a person speaks a word with divine wisdom, even if the same word was previously spoken by a fool, the world will appreciate the version enveloped in divine wisdom differently. A word can be corrective but when it is delivered under divine wisdom, it soothes. Let us not be like fools, for their mouths pour out folly. Have a great Saturday. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Sunday April 21, 2024

Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: James 3:13-18

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

13. Which of you is wise and intelligent? Let him show his works by good conduct with the gentleness of wisdom. 14. But if you have bitter zeal and strife in your hearts, do not boast, nor lie against the truth. 15. This wisdom is not that which comes from above; but it is earthly, carnal, diabolical. 16. For where there is bitter zeal and strife, there is disorder and all kinds of evil deeds. 17. The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceful, moderate, conciliatory, full of mercy and good fruits, free from duplicity and hypocrisy. 18. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who seek peace.

Let's remember:

These are the works that translate divine wisdom. The works themselves are supported by language, discourse, comments. Divine wisdom implies gentleness. The works of a person filled with divine wisdom are manifested in good conduct, gentleness and wisdom. When you notice a person who likes to argue, know that he does not have divine wisdom and will not possess it until he changes his lifestyle. Likewise, if a person has bitter zeal, he does not yet have divine wisdom. Let such a person not glory in his attitude because he does not honor the Lord God. We are told that this kind of attitude is a lie against the truth. Bitter zeal, lying, strife do not come from God. Rather, it is earthly wisdom that insinuates them. There are people who are famous for their spirit of argument, for their obscene remarks, for the conflicts and contradictions that they create everywhere; these people do not have divine wisdom. The world might call this wisdom but this wisdom is not that which comes from above; but it is earthly, carnal, diabolical. For where there is bitter zeal and strife, there is disorder and all kinds of evil deeds. Divine wisdom is pure, peaceful, moderate, conciliatory, full of mercy and good fruits, free from duplicity and hypocrisy. Excellent Sunday. Amen

Week from April 22 to 28, 2024

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Monday April 22, 2024

Theme: “The Christian facing death”
Text: Ecclesiastes 8:8

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

8. Man has no control over his breath so that he can hold it, and he has no power over the day of death; there is no deliverance in this battle, and wickedness cannot save the wicked.

Let's remember:

Life is God’s responsibility. Life is a gift from God. However, it is God himself who has the secrets. It is God who is master of our life. He is the master of our breath. It is God alone who can take away the breath of life. Spiritually, death is a second stage of life. It is almost the continuity of life but in a different form if not a form opposed to life. Indeed, physical death is the separation of the spirit and the mortal body. It finds its origin in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve who disobeyed God and, as a sanction, God pronounced the sentence of death, he took away eternity. But the death on the cross of Jesus Christ changed the situation and brought eternity back to the bosom of the children of God. The first Adam brought death; Jesus the second Adam brought back life. Initially, God had programmed humans to live eternity. But the man had not managed to stay the course. Through Jesus, God re-programmed eternity. Between life and eternity, in the middle, there is the transition called death. Man is not master of his breath to be able to hold it, and he has no power over the day of death; only God is the guardian of life. To lengthen life or to shorten it, we must look to God. The Christian must face death by relying on God. He must accept it out of obedience to God. We drag our mass of mortal flesh but remember that we are not in control of it. Have a great Monday. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Tuesday April 23, 2024

Theme: “The Christian facing death”
Text: Ecclesiastes 9:1-5

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

1. Yes, I have applied my heart to all this, I have examined all this, and I have seen that the righteous and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God , and love as well as hatred; men know nothing: everything is before them. 2. Everything happens equally to everyone; the same fate for the righteous and for the wicked, for the good and pure and for the impure, for the one who sacrifices and for the one who does not sacrifice; it is with the good as with the sinner, with the one who swears as with the one who fears to swear. 3. This is an evil among all that is done under the sun, that there is the same fate for all; also the hearts of the sons of men are full of wickedness, and foolishness is in their hearts while they live; after which, they go to the dead. Because who is excepted? 4. For all who live there is hope; and even a living dog is better than a dead lion. 5. The living, indeed, know that they will die; but the dead know nothing, and there is no more pay for them, since their memory is forgotten.

Let's remember:

We will be able to accomplish everything in life, we will be able to carry out big projects, we can also possess everything; but our final fate is death. It is she who completes the journey of the just, as well as that of the unjust. The ecclesiastes applied his heart to all this, he made all this the object of his examination, and he saw that the righteous and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God, as much for the love and hate. But all this does not exclude death. Our works do not deter death. Regardless of social, political, economic or spiritual class, we suffer the same fate. The righteous, the wicked, the pure, the impure, the one who sacrifices, the one who does not sacrifice; the good, the sinner, the one who swears or the one who fears to swear… everyone finishes their earthly pilgrimage and stands before the door of death, each waiting their turn. No exception is required as was the case for Enoch, Elijah, Moses who had been gathered to God by rapture. The only difference is that the righteous have a hope of salvation after death. He does not fear death, he braves it and does not reject it because it is the obligatory passage to join God his Father and enter eternal life. Have a great Tuesday. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Wednesday April 24, 2024

Theme: “The Christian facing death”
Text: Psalms 89:49

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

49. Is there a man who can live and not see death, Who can save his soul from hell?

Let's remember:

We will all go through death. Death is stuck to our carnal nature inherited from Adam. For every human creature, death is an obligatory passage before returning home to the celestial city. However, it should be noted that death is not inevitable. Death is not the end in itself. It is not always a sanction but it symbolizes the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. Death becomes fatal when it surprises a person who has not accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. Such a person is doomed to eternal death because salvation is in Jesus, the only Name given to us by which we must be saved. Jesus inflicted a snub on death; by tearing away its sting and its power. He disarmed death; and therefore it will no longer be able to retain the children of God in its abode: death has become a gateway leading to eternal rest. Faced with death, the Christian must be reassured because death is not an exception made to pagans; it is the afterlife that differs: the pagan will be lost and the Christian saved. The Christian will also experience death but only temporarily, he will be resurrected and return to the Father's dwelling place while the pagan will go into the lake burning with fire and sulfur which is the second death (Rev. 21.8). John 8:51 says “If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” Have a great Wednesday. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Thursday April 25, 2024

Theme: “The Christian facing death”
Text: Psalms 90:3-6

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

3. You bring men into the dust, And you say, Son of man, return! 4. For a thousand years are in your sight Like yesterday's day, when it is no more, And like a watch of the night. 5. You carry them away, like a dream, which in the morning passes away like grass: 6. It flowers in the morning, and it passes away, They cut it down in the evening, and it withers.

Let's remember:

Today we are talking about the vanity of life and its fragility. It is not important to brag about how much our life is worth because it can be cut short forever. It will pass and be no more. We will look at the work of our hands, we will look at the vanity of our works, nothing will resist the violence of death. This is why we must integrate the notion of the vanity of life and its ephemeral nature. The Lord God will push us back to where we came from: dust. In reality, dust is the raw material which gives existence to humans and through which man becomes flesh and bones. God breathes his spirit into it and man becomes a living spirit endowed with thought, speech, breath. But our origin and our end are the same; we come from dust/earth, we will return to dust/earth. This is the destiny of man in accordance with the will of his Creator. Even if the days of our life are a thousand years, our finality will remain dust. Let's be aware of this and stop vainly boasting about life's fleeting achievements. The metaphor of the flower evokes life and its purpose very well. A flower attracts everyone's attention, everyone smells it and takes pleasure in keeping it even though it will dry up after a period of time without warning. Everyone knows that a flower is very ephemeral but no one hates it. At the end of our lives, let us accept to fade into the hands of God without profaning him in order to better end our days and return to the dust. Have a great Thursday. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Friday April 26, 2024

Theme: “The Christian facing death”
Text: John 11:32-35

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

32. When Mary came to where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell at his feet and said to him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 33. Jesus, seeing her and the Jews who came with her weeping, trembled in his spirit, and was greatly moved. 34. And he said: Where have you put it? Lord, they replied, come and see. 35. Jesus wept.

Let's remember:

We do not resist death. We come out of our emotional comfort to burst into tears. It's not easy to lose a loved one and face someone who was one of your friends; moreover a friend who has the ability to protect from death. The reality was too overwhelming to move Jesus. When it comes to addressing God, we must never do so in the past tense as if He is not capable of stopping time, of rewinding time, of bringing life back to where death had created the irreparable. Life is in the hands of Jesus; just as death is. A single statement from Jesus can overturn the rules pre-established for millennia in order to manifest his divinity and lordship. In the bosom of Jesus there is no limit or flaw that would block his action, whatever it may be. Let us go before Him with a willing heart and a well-formulated request if we want life to return where death had been declared for several days. Death can affect our finances, our marriage, our work, our faith, our gifts, our health, in short everything within us can be dead for months or even years. We have a daily visit from Jesus who comes to inspect to see the progress of our situation. Let us speak to Him with confidence as we await the resurrection of that which is dead. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen

LET’S MEDITATE TOGETHER
Saturday April 27, 2024

Theme: “The Christian facing death”
Text: Matthew 26:37-38

https://www.meditons-ensemble.net

37. He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and he began to experience sadness and anguish. 38. Then he said to them: My soul is sad even to death; stay here, and watch with me.

Let's remember:

In French, the expression “to be sad until death” means to undergo extreme moral suffering leading to great spiritual despondency, and sometimes certain physical repercussions, but not necessarily immediate death. Synonyms:: extreme anguish, extreme distress, extreme torment. This explains why Jesus suffered hematidrosis (also called "blood sweat"). It is a very rare pathology whose clinical manifestation is the secretion of blood or a reddish liquid by the sweat glands. It would be favored by extreme anxiety and violent stress. The dictionary defines anxiety as a psychological and physical discomfort, born from the feeling of imminence of danger, characterized by a diffuse fear which can go as far as panic. Our Lord felt these feelings as every human would have felt them. Sadness combined with anxiety leads to psychic and psychological violence, to the point of even leading to a slow emotional death. The human side of Jesus meant that he could not ignore all human feelings. He endured the mental suffering preceding death. Like every human being, Jesus could not detach himself from it, because it was also the object of his mission, namely: to live the punishment, to live the suffering, to live the pain. Faced with death, the Lord gathered his lieutenants around an intimacy of prayer, He turned his gaze towards his father, who is ours; He teaches us the good attitude of seeking the face of the Father and remaining in his intimacy to better finish life on earth. Excellent Saturday. Amen.
